Welcome to Romulus

Quality of Life

The greater Detroit area has gained national attention for its recent economic resurgence. What is not so well known is the exceptional quality of life that the area has to offer. A 1990 study by the Population Crisis Committee identified the Detroit-Windsor urbanized area as one of the world's 10 best spots to live. One of the nation's first metropolitan park systems, and excellent county park system, proximity to the Great Lakes and numerous inland lakes all provide ample recreation opportunities for Romulus residents. Food costs, average amount of living space, housing standards, communications, education, public health, peace and quiet, traffic, clean air, recreation and public safety factors all contribute to make Romulus a great place to live in the metro area.
